Life's Out

Within a lonely care center hides the story of a broken patient stuck in space and time, piecing themselves together by day, and forgetting themselves by night. The halls of the center hide an ecosystem of people who have also lost a piece of themselves, that’ll help the patient remember a life that prefers to be hidden. Gameplay follows a unique premise: What if the brain was a limited Tetris-like Inventory  system?

As the memories are uncovered, so is the mystery confined within this Care center, full of people that have lost their past. Why did you know them all? What is this Care Center? Will uncovering the truth truly bring happiness to one’s life?

Life’s Out is an intimate 3rd Person Memory Management game about a lost Patient’s recovery, and about the looping struggle they face to remember it all. Gameplay revolves around gathering thoughts into a Tetris-style inventory combined with adjacency combinations. By sorting it, mix and matching thoughts to reveal new functions, memories and new paths to progress, you uniquely interact with the world.
